Entrepreneurship from Geography: from knowing what to knowing how to Do. From Student to Teacher, from Teaching to a Bachelor’s Degree, from a Graduate to a Geographer
Keywords:

We are in a global and changing world, with new demands and in the middle of digital transformation, this horizon indicates a reality which is cross-sectional in any disciplinary knowledge developed in the Academy: the entrepreneurship in the students; in that sense, as it has been stated, Geography should not be out of these demands, which invite us to go beyond the purely academic aspect, beyond the teaching and learning processes of this field of study. This thought has inspired the tittle of this article. The aim of this study is to show the undergraduate students of Geography that it is possible to develop both their teaching vocation and their planning as graduates as well as research and fieldwork to become an entrepreneur. This role involves becoming an independent professional who can generate genuine resources from their knowledge about geography and contribute to the local development at the same time. In other words, the Academy should promote the learning and entrepreneurship practice as an attitude to develop a creative and innovative ability to act upon the environment, becoming in that way innovative entrepreneurs.
