The effect of the rainfall in the limnological characteristics in the periurban lagoons (Bella Vista, Corrientes, 2019)

Abstract

Lagoons are considered sentinels when detecting changes associated with metereological events. In this sense, our teamwork has proved that lagoons with sand slopes have immediate morphometric responses as a consequence of the local climate variability; however, in those previous projects the monitoring of the characteristics of the water in these lagoons was not done. The aim of the present project is to monitor the characteristics of the periurban lagoon water of the city of Bella Vista, Corrientes annually. The purpose is to evaluate their responses to the extreme events of flooding and drought in 2019. The results are a contribution to the knowledge of these lagoons, which allow an integrating vision of the system, necessary for the territorial order of the landscape where they are included.
