Spatial-temporal distribution of traffic accidents in the city of Formosa

Abstract

This exploratory-descriptive geographic study focuses on the spatial distribution of the traffic accidents throughout the period 2016-2018. The methodology is quantitative associated with spatial analysis procedures (statistical-graphical tools) carried out in a SIG environment.  The results reveal the spatial configuration of the traffic accidents in the urban area of the city of Formosa throughout the time period analysed, which proves that those accidents are not random nor unpredictable.
