The workshop as a methodological tool of reflection

Abstract

This article puts forward a proposal originated in an Academic Project called “El Seminario- Taller como Herramienta Metodológica de Reflexión”. It is part of the Research Project: “La formación profesional de los profesores de Geografía de la Facultad de
Humanidades de la UNNE. Their reconstruction from a generational perspective based on their educational histories.” The topic is suitable and relevant due to the incidence this type of study has in the field of educational practice. These articulated actions- of research and academic practice- contribute to the creation of a corpus of knowledge in the university field. This knowledge provides indicators of the quality of the educational system, which allows the
reorientation of the process of decision-making in the curricular and institutional management. The methodology selected for this academic project was of a descriptive type, which permits the registration of the developed moments in the Workshop- and their
characteristic features-in relation to what was revised, analyzed, and proposed by the teachers with respect to a new curricular design of the Department of Geography. This was essential for the study since the voices of teachers, as interlocutors of a curricular practice, enables to understand the way in which they see their disciplinary field and the competencies to be developed according to the professional profile.
