The captain Solari Fort (Mayor Villafañe) site and asset of the historical patrimony of the province of Formosa

Abstract

This article centres around Captain Solari Fort, historical monument of the Province of Formosa, particularly the Mayor Villafañe town, which constitutes an identity element for the inhabitant of this territory. The aim of the project is to enhance Captain Solari Fort as cultural historical asset of the Province of Formosa from a patrimony perspective to preserve and maintain it, encouraging its social, cultural and economic use. Therefore, the period of 1912 ( settlement of the Fort) up to present (2020) is considered, it is shown that the fort is in outstanding deterioration. The use of it as a resource, likely to be economically exploited, is encouraged, only after its maintainance and preservation.
