Tools for environmental geography: integrating project

Abstract

This study emerges within the Environmental Geography Chair at the Geography Teacher Training Course together with the Environmental Geography Chair at the Bachelor in Geography (Department of Geography). The article has been named Tools of the Environmental Geography and it aims at making students capable of identifying the basic necessary tools for the comprehension of environmental problems. The method is focused on the application of the geographic method, regional and spatial analysis method and the human action analysis method at different scales in an integrating project, which centres around built spaces such as parks or natural reserve areas. This project analyses different kinds of issues
from a critical and problematizing perspective taking into account different geography approaches. The experience makes visible the different tools and methods available for the study of regional and environmental issues, which provides the bachelor with the necessary knowledge to participate in interdisciplinary studies.
