The combat: Paraguayan political migration to Formosa in the late 19th century

Abstract

This text discusses the Paraguayan political migration to Formosa in the late 19th century through EL Combate newspaper published between March and July, 1892. This work reports reasons for the Paraguayan presence in the National Territory other than the economic ones. El combate newspaper reflects the action of the liberal exiles in Formosa and their relationship with the local society.
