The Urban Form of the City of Formosa and the Use of the Soil, 2000-2019 period

Abstract

The city of Formosa is located in a fluvial plain, with several water bodies surrounding it, it is characterized by a damero map, typical of Argentinian urban areas. The use of the soil can be defined as the spatial expression of the activities developed in a city. The highlighted uses of the soil are commercial, industrial, the urban and the residential central district. In the city of Formosa there are residential, industrial, commercial and central urban areas, the predominant use is the residential one, which is the largest area. It must also be highlighted the significance of the commercial area and its influence in the dynamics of the city. These uses are in agreement with the regulations in the Building Code of the City of Formosa, which is a determining factor in the future localization, paying attention to the zoning expressed in the Code, whose characteristics are described in the work.
